Alchemy Radio Interview Ben Gilroy

Alchemy Radio jumps straight into the meat of things in their interview with Ben Gilroy. They immediately begin to discuss the lawsuit People For Economic Justice are bringing against the Office of the Taoiseach. Ben also jumps straight into the power of Direct Democracy, a power that was removed from the Irish Peoples Constitution (Bunreacht Na hÉireann).

Alchemy Radio LogoThe Court Case As Discussed On Alchemy Radio

During the early parts of the interview, Ben goes through the main allegations he and People For Economic Justice will be bringing against the government in the court case. They are:

  1. The actions of The Taoiseach and The Minister of Finance in paying back unsecured debts to private banks whom took part in illegal activities is repugnant to the Constitution of Ireland.
  2. Said actions are a violation of the Constitution as these actions was convened during a night meeting with members of the last Fianna Fáil government, without the full support or knowledge of the Cabinet or Séanad.
  3. It is against best practices of international law, as it is an odious debt, because it was taken on by a Fianna Fáil regime that at best had a dubious leader and corrupt members as outlined in the Mahon Tribunal at the cost to the state in excess of €500,000,000, and it did not benefit people, instead becoming one of the most taxing debts ever since the formation of the state.
  4. The defendants do not have a mandate from the People of Ireland for such actions, but in fact they have put the promises made to the people second, behind promises made to the banking sector.
  5. The debt precipitates from an insoluble obfuscation of the currency, which perpetually multiplies debt on the populous, in such a way that eventually we the people can only suffer a terminal sum of debt, which makes it mathematically impossible even to maintain a vital circulation there after.
  6. Receiving bailouts from member states of the European Union or the European Central Bank to pay back private corporations is in conflict with the Lisbon Treaty.
Listen to the interview for a few shocking revelations. Like what two counties are the most rich in terms of natural resources within the European Union? How much does it cost to change two light bulbs in an Irish Garda station?

Irish Government Summonsed by Ben Gilroy

On Tuesday the 27th of March, Ben Gilroy, John Squires and People for Economic Justice served a summons on the office of the Taoiseach to answer charges of illegal activity over the bank bailout. People For Economic Justice state that the bailout is illegal under Bunreacht Na hEireann, the Irish Constitution, and is also illegal under international law.

An injunction was applied for to prevent the payment of a €3.1 billion to the Anglo Irish Bank bond holders due to be paid this Saturday 31st March 2012. The judge has given two weeks for the State to respond.

Please support Ben Gilroy, John Squires and People for Economic Justice in any way you can. The economic situation in Ireland has been caused by illegal activity. Those responsible must be held responsible, and the payments must be stopped. Fine Gael were elected on the promise of stopping this madness but have not done so.

How far can this just cause go in the courts? Who knows. The case has to content with the fact that the defendant is the direct employer of every judge and civil servant that works on and against it. It is far better to fight for an inch, than to let this corrupt system continue to take miles however. This odious debt will fall at our children’s feet if we do something about it. Under United Nations law an odious debt, take on by a corrupt regime that has since been removed, can not fall on the people under which that regime ruled following their removal. That is undoubtedly the case in Ireland.

One important point to remember regarding this case, is that People For Economic Justice are not suing the Taoiseach or even the Government. They are suing the Office of the Taoiseach. This allowed the case to progress even if (or more likely when) Enda Kenny is no longer serving as Taoiseach, the case can progress unabated.

Who Are The Bondholders

Few realise that it was in fact People For Economic Justice who uncovered the full list of bondholders of the now defunct Anglo Irish Bank.

As we are all aware, Fine Gael ran a very successful campaign during the 2011 election. This campaign ran on a platform that marshaled around one convincing and powerful phrase: “Not one more cent!”. This promise was broken in record time upon Fine Gael and Labour taking office, when the Government stated that the repayment of the bondholders was paramount to securing funding from the so-called Troika (meaning Threesome in Russian) of The European Central Bank, The European Union, and The International Monetary Fund.

This out-and-out lie was proven false almost immediately. There were NO provisions what-so-ever in Ireland’s bailout deal, which sets the requirement of the repayment of bondholders. In addition to this revelation, Enda Kenny and his cabinet stated on no uncertain terms, on more than one occasion, that not only were they planning on repaying 36 billion of the Irish taxpayers money to these bondholders, but that they did not even know who these bondholders were!

Without further ado, let People For Economic Justice clear up any confusion the Government may have about who the bondholders are.
