Scottish Sovereign’s Interview With Ben Gilroy

Logo of Scottish Sovereign who interviewed Ben GilroyThis week Ben Gilroy was interviewed by Scottish Sovereign On The Land, via broadcast by TNS Radio. During the interview they cover the events surrounding Constitution Halts Sheriff. In that video, Ben Gilroy and People For Economic Justice halted the repossession of a mans house by the county Sheriff, as well as highlighting the behavior of An Garda Siochana, when they assist the Sheriff in events such as that.

Also covered is the unlawful seizure of Ben Gilroy’s car by a private mechanic, on the instruction of An Garda Siochana. Ben’s solution was to simply invoice the mechanic, and take him to court if he finds that the invoice goes unpaid. Two can play the commerce game as Ben say’s! Listen in below for more.

This video provides a very important comparison between the Irish Constitution and the Constitution of Great Britain. The Irish Constitution, as a codified constitution can be utilized in the ways that Ben Gilroy is famous for. The British Constitution however, is an uncodified constitution that is highly open to interpretation.

Ben also covers an instance in court following the incident with the Receiver of the business of Mr. Gerry Burns. In this instance the Judge instructed (verbally) the debtor in question not to interfere with the receivers work at his business. The man kindly informed the judge that he would follow any order, made by her, and also signed by her instead of a court clerk. The judge refused this, which is a clear indication that the judge is fully aware that what she is doing is illegal, and won’t sign the order as it would tie her to the crime!

Ben Gilroy Halts Eviction of an 80 Year Old Woman

Ben Gilroy, People For Economic Justice and the Anti-Eviction Taskforce arrived at the flat of an 80-year-old woman this morning at 10am. The 80-year-old woman in question had been informed prior to that morning that the Sheriff would arrive at 11am. Upon arrival Ben found that the Sheriff had already been there. He discovered a locksmith was fixing a new lock to the door, having drilled through the old one. It was evident by the debris left from the drill, that the old lock had been removed by force. The first video is a short interview with Vin from TNS Radio.

Ben kindly asked the Locksmith what he was doing, and upon hearing the news, asked the Locksmith for the key’s and informed him that what the Sheriff was doing was unlawful. The Locksmith kindly obliged.

Ben and People For Economic Justice then educated the 80-year-old woman on her rights and began preparation for barricading the apartment against further intrusion. Upon arrival of the Gardai to remove them, the 80-year-old woman asked the Garda were they operating under their oath of office. When they avoided this question, she kindly informed them that her home was inviolable save in accordance with the law, and asked them what law she had broken. The Garda left temporarily.

Ben and People for Economic Justice, have now barricaded themselves in the house, and are awaiting the arrival of the Sheriff, so that they can inform him of the same thing!

Follow Up From The 80 Year Old Woman’s Apartment

As you can see from the second video. The Gardai upheld their oath, taken under the constitution, and left Ben and People For Economic Justice to their business. What is most important about this video is that while Ben engages the Gardai, he speaks passively at all times, informing that Gardai that he has taken the actions he chose to take, as he was concerned about someone referring to themselves as The Sheriff wanted to take the property from the 80-year-old woman.

Update On The 80 Year Old Woman’s Apartment:

As of Friday 24th of November 2017 the apartment is still in the possession of its owner. We will post any significant updates as a new article if and when it arrives.

One of the major things to take away from this interview is the actions of Justice Lefoy during the case of Fergus Lowe attempting to act as receiver at Stitch ‘n’ Fix in Navan, the business owned by Gerry Burns. When Gerry quite rightly did not accept the signed court order Mr. Lowe presented him with, under the advise of Ben Gilroy, Mr. Lowe returned to the high court saying that Mr. Burns was in contempt of court. Gerry was of course not in contempt of court as the court order was not signed by the high court judge who issued it. Justice Lefoy decided that Gerry was in contempt of court despite this.
